Experience

I have been working in the field of speech pathology since 1988 and LOVE my job as a therapist!  I have worked both in clinical settings and in the school system providing speech therapy for students and adults.  I have worked in preschool, elementary and high schools and admit to loving my middle school students the most!  (Sssshh... don't tell the others)  My therapy experience includes working in North Carolina and New York before coming home to Georgia.  In New York, my students were deaf and they taught me lots of sign language.  Of course, I like to think I taught them to say, "ya'll"!

Bio

Welcome to speech therapy!  My name is Melissa Mitcham and this is my 3rd year as a Mason Creek Wolf.  My daughter, Kate, is a 7th grader here at MCMS this year and my son, Mason just graduated from college.  We live in Villa Rica with our crazy dog, Andy, and our not-so-crazy hedgehog, Hazel.

For fun, I love to read, kayak, listen to my favorite band (The Avett Brothers!) and practice making a perfect BLT sandwich.
